Tanja Knaus

is a mixed media artist and curator currently residing in Berlin. Her work revolves around memory, consciousness and intersections between notions of public and private space. She worked on a public project for the cultural capital in 2012 in Guimarães, Portugal where interactive signs told personal memories about the former textile industries and led visitors to a pop-up space within the industrial ruins. She is currently working on Access Exit, a series of ten embodied interventions taking place at, on and around “public” sculptures from June 2014 – June 2015 in collaboration with Raegan Truax, a durational performance artist from the US, and curating “Heizraum,” an experimental music and performance platform at the Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik (ZK/U) in Berlin.
